Native of Pell City, AL, graduated from Auburn in 2002 with a B.A. in Art. I started seriously painting over 10 years ago, while becoming a stay at home mom and part-time children's pottery artist. The children's pottery has greatly affected the way I paint on canvas with an expressive style of painting that is loose, care-free, and overly-exaggerated in proportions and color. I enjoy a variety of subjects, especially southern landscapes, nature, tornadoes and trees.
In 2018, I became the Art Instructor for Heritage Hall’s Art in the Schools Program, which provides visual arts instruction to all Talladega City Elementary schools 4th grades. Heritage Hall Museum hosts an exhibit in the Summer of selected children's art during the school year.
In 2021, I opened my own studio in Pell City where I sell local art and offer classes. Please come and visit me at Sundi Hawkins Art Studio, 3514 Martin St S. Ste 104, Cropwell, AL
When I'm not painting, I enjoy movies, traveling, cooking, reading and hanging with my 2 boys.
